Rain drops keep falling on my tapehead

On Sunday I managed to capture the rain as it leaked into the factory in several places. Reviewing the results on the bank holiday Monday it sounds so musical when looped. A very percussive rhythm track it is indeed. I have been arranging this into a soundscape.

Being at the Factory as part of Norfolk Open Studios has been very interesting for me over these last two weeks. The final weekend next week.

Bird Recordings

The bird recordings I made for the Soundbooth were a success. Really added something to the Factory as the wave forms permeated through the surrounding gallery space. Which also may explain the bird feathers in the previous post prehaps? So prehaps this confused them.

Mind the sounds...

I had to go into Norwich today. On the way back at Norwich train station I recorded some sounds whilst waiting for the train back. Interesting and I was most obvious with headphones and microphone attached so in a public place I was not causing any problems. There I was sitting on a bench all to myself then a man sat next to me eating very noisily. I missed the "In the interest of public saftey will you please look after your luggage...." I really tried after several attempts to capture it in all its glory. Will try and do again at some point because to me it's as iconic as "Mind the gap..." on the London Underground.

A view from a flatlandscape

www.flatlandscape.blogspot.com is an ongoing project
that I have put into the 2007 Norwich Fringe festival.
A search for the alternative canvas that otherwise might get missed.
