I hadn't thought of this one
As I am planning to walk from Hopton to Norwich in the near future I thought I had thought of everything. From the right shoes to what clothes to wear, what to bring with me, to what route to take. According to this article in the Eastern Evening News there has been a big cat spotted. Ok this is on the other side of the river Yare for my intended route. Another question you have to ask yourself is this was spotted from a car. So what do I do spot one whilst being on foot if it happens...decisions... decisions decisions...
If it or others do exist...
If it or others do exist...
before we get too carried away
Before we get too carried away with it all looking from the other direction of the previous picture. We see that what has been cleared doesn't follow exactly the path of the footpath. Which it misses by several yards. So do we follow this one that is cleared or do we use the follow footpath that crosses the crops?
Clearing a path
Yesterday was pleased to find that the farmer has mown the footpath which goes across the crops in his fields. First time I have seen him do that. I've only started to this footpath regularly in the last year. Wish other farmers were like that. According to the first Ordinance survey map of this area in the early 1890 s it follows the edge of an earlier hedge that separated this larger field in two. Which is why the tree is still there.

Self imposed satisfaction
Found a way
Was pleased yesterday that I found that the footpaths across Haddiscoe marshes were useable. Apart from the gate that I had to climb over but everything was easily marked to tell where you were going. Therefore not having to walk along the busy and treacherous A143 road which has no safe means walking along side. Witnessing herds of cows idly grazing, a trio of Tornado jets flying overhead and a passing Hercules transport aircraft. The busy traffic tucked away on the road far away as it sneaks across like me the flat surface of what was once water. Even before reaching the marshes the other inter connecting foot paths where more visible in use Starting from Hopton on sea, Lound, Ashby, Fritton, St Olaves and beyond till I got to Thurlton. To clarify these in broad daylight is an understatement. Well have you ever tried to find something in the dark and I mean literally in the dark of night that is new. Even with a map in hand you still have to read the landscape to correlate what is on symbolised on paper and it's place on earth. The image is of the view from Thorpe looking back to Lothingland in the distance. Next stop is eventually Norwich itself!

46 keys on my wagon!
Another job for me do! 3 keys broken on my keyboard so still leaves me with 46 I can use. Just have to find some to cannibalise from Freecycle or such . Like Irving Berlin I do like using the black keys. A keyboard more responsive and instantaneous at transposing samples of sound then manipulating them through a software menu with a computer mouse.

It's always greener on the other side
Though I wish it was that simple as this quiz from http://www.whoshouldyouvotefor.com/ shows. I've only manged to be able to vote green in a general election once when I was living in London. Democracy is not transparent or fair which is how it reflects life.

All ears over to Myspace...
It was only matter of time...but I have some audio pieces situated at http://www.myspace.com/eyeresearch under the moniker of Eyeresearch.
No there's not much drums or any words in this genre but so far four tracks of an ambient industrial nature I have posted on there. Using just the computer and some software that is my instrument of choice and as low tech as I can get in this time of life.

Been caught walking!
Whilst having a look on Google maps I find myself caught on the streetview section of where I live. Not once but twice as I am pictured further along the road. Yes that's me in the center with the light blue t shirt. They did make a good job of blurring my face. I recall the car with the strange looking dome shaped camera sticking out of its roof
Obtaining footage from CCTV camera would never be so easy...but fame atlast
